10 bit blue ray videos appear to be dark and ubwatchable in dark situations is there any hack for it

What player are you using? Is your monitor HDR capable?

Being no expert, I guess that if your monitor isn’t HDR but good old SDR, you need some player that does some good “tone mapping” to that extra 10bit data. In my experience, both VLC and MPV do a great job at it. Maybe not as good and configurable in that regard as MadVR in Windows, but almost.

We need more info about your setup and maybe files to be played anyway.
