:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

  1. Please read this:
    How to provide good information
and press the three dots … below your post and press the :pencil2: to give us more information so we can see what’s really going on.
Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
  2. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text.
  3. starting the game in a console and see if you can see something there before it reboots?

:+1:

P.S. If you want to notify me that you did provide this information, please  this message and I’ll come back and have another look.

Hi. Thanks a million. Please tell me what else you need. When I run it from console the same happens, but I tried a the game a while back on this same laptop on Elementary OS and the game worked fine. Your help will really be appreciated. Ps. I just ried it on Endeavouros and the same thing happens. The output is from Endeavouros. Manjaro is my main installation so I don’t want to mess around there really.

Do you have a compelling reason to be on the 5.13 Stable development kernel for a

So please read this:

Especially the section Linux has multiple kernels I just linked to and then install an LTS kernel and boot into that.

Also, your UEFI firmware is really old. Refer to your manufacturer’s hardware guide how to update that.

Start there and then we’ll see if we need to dig any deeper (or not)

:crossed_fingers:

Thanks buddy. I switched to the LTS kernel and the game works fine. Last question. I downloaded some auto update package from Lenovo website to update the firmware and it just tell me there is nothing available for my laptop. Any idea on how else I can manually update the UEFI firmware on this laptop? Ps. I thought since this is a rolling release I better stay on the latest kernel to be up to date. Stupid of me.

I’ve marked this answer as the solution to your question as it is by far the best answer you’ll get.

However, if you disagree with my choice, please feel free to take any other answer as the solution to your question or even remove the solution altogether: You are in control! (If you disagree with my choice, just send me a personal message and explain why I shouldn’t have done this or  or :+1: if you agree)

:innocent:

In the future, please don’t forget to come back to your question after your issue has been solved and click the 3 dots below the answer to mark a solution like this below the answer that helped you most:
Solution
so that the next person that has the exact same problem you just had will benefit from your post as well as your question will now be in the “solved” status.

I don’t have the same hardware as you, so that’s why I referred you to your manufacturer’s manual / web-site / forum. :sob:

Not stupid: you read that bit of the tutorial and now you know more, so I’m recommending you read it all except the bits where it says to come back later…

Glad we could help, but why are you not asking in EndeavourOS forum when you using their distro?

Manjaro is my main distro, I just installed the game there to see if it will have the same problem and it did. Thanks a million for all the help guys.
