Do you speak :uk: as well because my :ru: is good enough to :open_book: but not good enough to :memo: especially with complex things like boot problems.

:scream:

P.S. :fr: :de: :netherlands: :south_africa: is fine too for me…

No problem, I can do it in English.

:+1:

AFAIU, you’re trying to install Manjaro and that is not working, but booting from USB obviously worked. If that’s the case:

  1. Have you verified the SHA1/MD5 hash of the ISO file you downloaded?
  2. If yes, Please read this:
    How to provide good information
and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…
  3. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text.

:+1:

P.S. Извините! Плохо говорю и мало понимаю… :sob:

I thought so too, but I downloaded and compared the hashes again, but everything is fine with the image.
I can transfer the logs tomorrow.
I have 2 disks (SSD and HDD).

Hello. I’m sending inxi. And I also noticed one oddity, this time with calamaris and f2fs, which can be solved later, after solving the problem with grub.

That’s old: see if there is an upgrade for that first.

Apparently you’re trying to install the boot records on your flash drive instead of your computer.

You should mount /boot/efi to /dev/sdb2 instead.

:crossed_fingers:

On my motherboard, there are no more updates, this is the last update. Leapfrog, just happens with the installer. I definitely noticed this when I tried to install the system f2fs, there is no boot record at all. I do not choose the boot record, as calamaris does not give a choice.
Previously, I did the installation and there were no problems, even on f2fs.

EXT4 with defaults, noatime, discard are fine with most SSDs nowadays. F2FS is mostly used in phones running Android

The Kingston SA400S37120G does use TLC, so I wouldn’t put any swap file on it, but you don’t seem to be doing that anyway.

Are you doing manual partitioning? Can you send a screenshot of what you’re doing there???

I tried both on ext4 and on btrfs, the result is the same, a black screen instead of the boot menu menu, and with f2fs, the boot record is not put at all. Swap - I keep it on the HDD at the very beginning of the disk I mark up.
Sda - hdd
Sdb - SSD

  1. That looks good! :open_mouth:
But what I meant was: Can you send a screenshot of what you’re doing exactly in the manual partitioning screen of the installer before you get to the error?

  2. Can you still log into the console on Ctrl+Alt+F2?

If yes, log in there and provide the output of:

    export LANG=C
    journalctl --system --boot=0 --priority=3 | tail --lines=50

I’ll do it tomorrow. It would be nice to collect the logs of the calamaris itself, i.e. everything is logical from the markup and closing for a reboot.

Good afternoon. Attempt to install No. 1 - not luck the boot sector not recorded. I’ll try to do it differently now.

UEFI has to configure the security download “other OS”, must run manjara, because dysters that do not support safe download, run on my PC without problems.

Reset your uefi settings. Must go. Strangeness when you create a partition table, when you set the Mount point, you couldn’t set /boot/efi, because it was missing, although you started live CD for uefi. It is possible that the built-in kalamaris marketer works correctly, namely when creating a partition table that is not properly working.

Still, this bug manifests itself

I was able to install, there was a can’t of mine that I could not install, I needed to indent 1 MB in front of / boot / efi. I transfer a video uploaded to Yandex disk showing the problem. System start

Early theme close, as the main problem is not fixed, and problem, when installed system, black screen instead of the grub menu.

I don’t know how to help you any further. Your English seems to be pretty good, so why not:

  • Install the English version
  • Post your problem in the #support:installation category where more knowledgeable people than me will be able to help you if they can read the screenshots in English
  • Once you have a solution in :uk: , wipe it all and start over in :ru:

P.S. Извините! Я тупой… :man_shrugging:
