wrong hostname (hostname -s) on new Gnome install (using architect edition)

  1. When I type hostname -s on the Gnome terminal, I’m getting localhost as my hostname.
  2. I tried hostname -a, and I get “localhost myhostname localhost myhostname”.
  3. I checked /etc/hostname and the file is showing “myhostname” which is the one I entered during installation.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong/have done wrong?

Probably doesn’t matter but I selected Gnome in the preconfigured desktop editions.

Thanks

You can also set it with
