Woofer Speakers not Working

This is a fresh install on a a Lenovo Yoga 7i. I bought the laptop about a year ago, have used windows since purchase because I was worried about drivers. Anyways, there is no audio out of the woofer speakers. I’ve seen that a handful of suggestions say to add an option to the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, but that directory doesn’t exist.

Here’s my alsa project upload.
(I’m not allowed to upload links I guess, so here is the path)

You need to create the file:

sudo mkdir /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

Then edit it with whichever editor you prefer (eg: nano):

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

Enter the suggested settings; Save; and Reboot.

Cheers.

This worked. The option that I added to the file doesn’t appear to be for my exact laptop series, but if it works don’t touch it. Thanks.

Glad you got it working.

Next time you’re passing by, please share the line that worked for the benefit of other Users with the same issue. Thanks.

Cheers.
