Welcome to the forum!
Personally, I donât like that. I would create a separate partition for this.
Iâd recommend you take a look at the installation guide first so you make an informed decision on how to proceed according to your system configuration.

As I know, if you choose the default âalong Windows installationâ setup then it will choose the SSD of Windows. You are better off, if you do a manual partitioning and install it then.
For my laptop with two drives the installer auto selects the second drive and the same drive for Manjaroâs EFI partition. During installation choose Erase disk (on the selected storage device).
Two drives in a laptop gives you an advantage for dual booting so best to avoid installing alongside Windows. If Linux EFI entries end up on Windowsâ EFI partition either by accident or intentionally, Linux will boot but thereâs a high probability youâll lose the distroâs EFI directory, usually after Windows Update re-formats the partition. Itâs really a matter of when, not if this will happen, and itâs a hassle to repair.
