Alternative to YouTube: Peertube. Multiple hosts all over the world, many in the EU. Anyone with a Fediverse/Mastodon account anywhere can follow Peertube creators and enjoy those videos. What YouTube offers that this does not is the ability to monetize your videos and be tracked.

As for search engines to replace Google:
Qwant: French
Ecosia: German (and they plant TREES!)
Lilo: French (support charities)
Startpage: The Netherlands (Support privacy)
Swisscows: Swiss (Privacy and safety)
Mojeek: UK (No tracking)
Most of these are dependent on Bing or Google for data, consolidating searches over one to four data engines. Mojeek has no dependency, they run their own spider engines to build the data.

I LIVE in the USA and wanted non-USA services!

There might now be a few comments on that video which may explain things a little more clearly, if anyone is prepared to take those into account. :wink:
