Wifi stopped working overnight

Sooooo, next problem here. Bought a USB Wifi adapter today. Bought the most simple one I could find, hoping that it’s supported out of the box but of course it’s not
It’s a TP Link AC600 with a Realtek RTL8811AU chip. Guess I need those drivers for it to work:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rtl88xxau-aircrack-dkms-git/

Can anyone pls explain for me how I install those drivers from a USB stick?

Try to install rtl8812au-dkms-git from AUR.

You should plan on buying a USB WiFi adapter that supports Linux, rather than buying device that only supports Windows or Mac.

Well, I asked for recommendations here but didn’t get any. But nvm, figured it out myself, Wifi finally works again!

Can you share this with us?

Hm, not sure if I should. Found this method in a Underground Hacking Forum on the Darknet.

Nah, just kidding. I’m afraid I gave the wrong impression the way I phrased my post. I didn’t install the driver from a USB stick. I thought I have to, since my machine doesn’t have an ethernet port. But then I remembered that I can use USB tethering on my phone. So in the end I just installed the kernel headers and the AUR package with the driver using pacman/yay
