You’re asking about your imagined solution in your topic title rather than your actual problem. This leads to enormous amounts of wasted time and energy, both on the part of people asking for help, and on the part of those providing help.

Nonetheless after some adjustments I removed the Radeon card and kept the only the nvidia GTX 960 active.
Although despite the nvidia being more recent I am still not able to use the opencl …
I am about to reverse the decision, as I am about to swap cards again as the “new” one is louder …
So, being blunt , can I simply uninstall - nvidia + nouveau drivers and afterwards reinstall the radeon dri drivers in TTY mode ?
