Hi. I had a similar issue recently with a different Realtek chipset (rtl8821ce) after an update. I could not find the reason for that, but one post from the forum helped me to get a working wifi connection.
Following the solution from this post, I set the option “Store password for all users (not encripted)“ and disabled Bluetooth. At the same time I configured my connection to store BSSID, not only SSID.
