Wifi gets deactivated on closing lid

i am using manjaro kde, kernel 5.11 with kde 5.21, on an hp laptop with i3 and no dedicated graphics card

my wifi gets deactivated when ever i close my laptop lid, what can i do for it??

  • Go to System Settings
  • Type lid
  • Click on Energy Saving
  • Activate Button events handling
  • Change When laptop lid is closed to Do nothing like in below screenshot:

i tried that already it didn’t work so i rolled back to lts kernel 5.4
everything’s fine now wifi works properly and crashes are gone for good
