Hi all,
Ive just installed the latest version of Manjaro KDE (changed the SSD), the problem is that the WIFI doesn’t work, the modem is regularly detected, inserted the pw no connection is established. The wired connection work properly.
the system is as follow:
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.106.0
Qt Version: 5.15.9
Kernel Version: 6.1.31-2-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz
Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 4400
Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Product Name: HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC
System Version: 0974110000405F10000620180
The wifi card is a Broadcom 43142.
Strange that in the previous version of Manjaro WIFI worked properly.
Have someone idea of what happen?
TKS in advance
In the meanwhile I’ve upgraded the kernel with 6.3.5-1-MANJARO (64 bit)
does the wifi work with the 6.3?
if not post output from:
mhwd -l -li
Usually you need an extra module (driver) which can be installed with mhwd.

Seems no driver is installed, is it?
I try to install with:
pamac build broadcom-wl-dkms
but still not working
you have it already installed…
but you dont have installed the proper video drivers, so post full system info:
inxi -zav7
and also output:
pacman -Qs 'dkms|broadcom|wl'
and are you dual booting with windows? if yes, is fast startup disabled?
and is fast boot disabled in your bios/uefi - you may not have this option there…

I’ve forced again the installation, then reboot, and changed the protection, instead of WPA Personal I’ve setted WPA/WPA2, now seems working.
I’m honestly little bit surprise…
Now I try to reboot again so I can check if working properly.
All my computers are “Windows free” from more about 30 years, this is an old laptop “refurbished” with a new SSD and Manjaro, the fast boot is disabled, it’s fast enough
