Wifi disconnects when laptop lid is opened. (not when lid is closed)

I have just switched from Ubuntu to Manjaro a few days ago. And this is the same problem that is bothering me. At first it seemed that the problem starts after closing the lid, but I later noticed that it only disconnects when opening the lid. I did whatever I could - modified /etc/systemd/logind.conf and set lid related switches to “ignore”. did’t work. Modified /etc/Upower/Upower.conf, didn’t work. changed lid related settings from settings manager. but still the problem wasn’t solved.

This is my laptop info:

I did not have this kind of weird problem in Ubuntu.

Hi @sleepy_neo ,
In the journalctl output says you have the wifi blocked by software.
Could you post the output of the following terminal command?
rfkill list all

Maybe, either you have to unblock the wifi or look in the forum for alternatives.
To unblock the device simply run in the terminal the following command:
rfkill unblock all
Hope this help,
Regards

If you notice the journalctl log, you can see that the problem starts at line 3 which messes up with rflill.
> May 04 15:16:48 hp kernel: wlo1: deauthenticating from cc:2d:21:00:f0:40 by local choice (Reason: 3=DEAUTH_LEAVING)

Before opening the lid:

❯❯ rfkill list all
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
1: hci0: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no

And after opening the lid:

❯❯ rfkill list all
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
1: hci0: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no

More interestingly, if I switch lid again when wifi is disconnected, it starts automatically. and it changes to, Soft blocked: no.
My assumption is that something is not okay with kernel. Although upgrading or downgrading kernels didn’t fix it either.

Here is another detailed journalctl log:

The problem is with mac randomization. It was disabled in the network settings. But it was still active somehow.

Made the config file /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/90-disable-randomization.conf

With the following content:

[device-mac-randomization]
wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=no

[connection-mac-randomization]
## FOR ETHERNET, OPTIONAL IF YOU USE ONLY WLAN
#ethernet.cloned-mac-address=permanent
wifi.cloned-mac-address=permanent

Then restarted the machine. And the problem was no longer there.

Edit: This problem came back after few reboots

I cannot help feeling frustrated that this problem is still unsolved.
