WiFi Disconnected, I Manually Reconnected

This is not a big issue, but it happened, shouldn’t have happened I think.

I was working normally, suddenly noticed my laptop got disconnected fro the WiFi. I waited for a few minutes, it didn’t reconnect so I simply disconnected and reconnected again.

I did my homework and searched and found many cases with different details, some with solutions and some without here Search results for 'wifi disconnects' - Manjaro Linux Forum I read them all almost.

Then I thought and looked at:

Should I simply check the checkbox at “Connect automatically with priority”?
I am on LTS by the way.

I am just trying to get my Manjaro KDE (Stable) as perfect as possible.

I will appreciate your feed back.

That is the default setting , as far as i know.
If you can turn that on - you must have turned it off before.

The reason for the disconnect might be hinted at in the system logs,
but it may just be some microwave oven or someone trying to learn how to annoy/hack people by sending such packets via WLAN
or just a bad connection due to too great a distance
the reason could be almost anything

As @Nachlese says, there may be many causes. One common cause I’ve seen is MAC Randomization. Run inxi -n to see the MAC of your card. Boot again, run inxi again and if MAC Adress has changed MAC Randomization is on and you can disable writing a single conf file:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NetworkManager#Configuring_MAC_address_randomization

I didn’t play with it.

I am sure none of those! 4 meters to the Router and 2 meters to the repeater.

I will try this.
I will report back.

UPDATE.
I did inxi -n and rebooted. I got same MAC address.
This is not a big issue, I am just seeking to make my system as perfect as possible.

Any suggestions?

Awhile back my ISP Xfinity was having problems and even wired would disconnect.

Turn on automatic reconnection
or
investigate, don’t find anything conclusive,
and
turn on automatic reconnection :sunglasses:
or don’t - and reconnect by hand whenever it might happen again

Not for your lo connection (which is the one you have selected in your screenshot). The lo connection is your loopback network device:
