Hello,
I’m new to this forum so please be gentle ,
I am currently using a Thinkpad T440p with i5-4210m and Nvidia GT730m (video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-390xx-bumblebee), running Manjaro with Gnome (Wayland).
I’m having trouble sharing my screen in video meetings, especially in Google Meet and Discord, i can share specific windows and it works fine, but when i try to share my whole screen the other person sees only my cursor moving against a black background.
Can you help me fix it so i can share my whole screen?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Manjaro!
According to the nVidia product page your hardware is still supported by the 440-series driver. (the 450 series hasn’t been ported yet)
What is the reason you’re still using the 390-series? If none: have you tried the 440-series already? If not: do that first and report back, please.

Hello,
Thank you for trying to help me with a difficult problem,
Here is what I’ve done since we last spoke:
I downgraded my kernel, cuz i prefer to be on 'LTS'
I upgraded to the latest proprietary driver available trough 'Manjaro Settings Manager' which is 418
I still can’t share my entire screen.
Here is latest output from $ inxi --full --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host

Correction: the 450 series was ported 2 hours ago … (3 hours after my previous response so I would try that first as you’re still on the nvidia v: 418.113
according to your inxi
output.
and feed back.

Hello thanks,
I finally managed to fix the issue, it was to a large part due to your help, however your exact instructions did not work for me. The 450 drivers have probably not propagated to me yet, or at least mhwd doesn’t see configurations for them, pamac says it’s already using the latest packages, and the only 440 configuration i could find were video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-440xx-prime
, maybe i’m missing some packages or the repos i’m getting them from are not really up to date, anyway i ended up installing these drivers
sudo mhwd --install pci video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-440xx-prime
and magically the issue disappeared, apparently using the prime
drivers might use more battery from what i’m reading, but for the time being i’ll have to stick with them.

Actually, the video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-440xx-prime
driver uses less battery than the video-nvidia-450xx
(which I recommended) and just a tiny bit more than the video-linux
or the video-modesetting
, so keep what you have!
