Despite being present a GUI Menu with the supposed startup entries for the XFCE enviroment I still have several entries which are not editable.
Why can not be able to edit them in the menu ?
According to the docs those entries are *.desktop files present in a specific directory, although in that directory I have found some files but not all present in the GUI listing …
So my question is where are those entries that do not have the corresponding *.desktop files ?
Try Customize the Xfce menu.
Some desktop files are local, while others are in a system directory. Usually when edited, a system file is copied to a local file.
As mentioned at the above web site, they are freedesktop.org standard-compliant.
I will check that one ( Customize Xfce Menu ) …
In the past tried once the MenuLibre editor but had some issues that had to remove it…
Because I never reinstalled the System since the 0.8.3 version perhaps the problems that I am facing now are still collateral damage from previous menu experiences …
Although I did check “Customize XFCE Menu” it was not what I was looking for…
I am still seing strange | unistable entries in the Session and Startup menu …
So where are those * desktop entry files ?
Or are not it *.desktop files ?
