When shutting down PC, all mechanical hard-disks
run down hard - parking heads as if the power goes out.
Click of death???

Did this only happen once?

Many of us didn’t reproduce the problem, but maybe only you did.

Did you check journalctl -p err -b -1 after the crash?
Can you figure out what the problem is?
