What's `Manjaro Minimal LTS`?

When donwloading a manjaro image, a new option as Minimal LTS.
What’s it?

It is not new there always has been a Minimal ISO. It is what it says, a minimal version, with less packages pre-installed. Also it may have a different kernel.
Usually users want the full ISO.

Not only Minimal but also LTS

A version of Manjaro with only the essential packages installed (minimal) and the latest LTS-marked kernel (5.10 instead of 5.13 - I think right now?).

I use Manjaro Gnome LTS minimal because I want to have a working setup without all the “bloat” and I don’t need the latest stable kernel I just want the LTS one.

It’s all a matter of preference and some extra stability tbh.

One man’s bloat is another man’s necessity - so it is difficult to define.

For the LTS - if I recall - the LTS is using 5.4 not 5.10

True. That’s the reason why I quoted “bloat” because it’s a relative term.

I installed LTS minimal gnome edition and it’s on the 5.10 LTS kernel. I don’t think I switched kernels myself, could’ve post-install with everything else but if I did I can’t remember so sorry if I gave the wrong information because of it.

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I know
