Blackscreen after trying to start manjaro after update

I’ve got a dual boot Manjaro and Windows system a bit of background:

Almost all of this was done via chroot and a live usb

  1. botched pacman -Syu due to power outage
  2. got a black screen with a message that vmlimuz(or something like that is not found) on next boot
  3. Followed advice on recovering from interrupted update, but that wasn’t enough as my whole kernel was gone and it wasn’t only a grub issue.
  4. Installed linux66 and reinstalled linux515 ran system updates after each one
  5. reinstalled video-linux driver
  6. still getting black screen, but no error message about vmlinuz

startx output ← having the feeling this is the issue, but the people with similar problems were always running nvidia cards

pacman-mirrors --fasttrack 5 && pacman -Syyu
if theres nothing to update and you are up to date, run this:
