Let’s say I have two computers using the same NAS and I save the TimeShift snapshots from both computers in the NAS. Will each computer know which snapshots belong to himself or will it mix the snapshots?
First of all, timeshift does not support storing its backups across the network. The target filesystem must be on the same machine.
Secondly, you should never store the backups from two separate machines on the same filesystem. timeshift cannot distinguish between the two.
