Linux user since 2007
Manjaro user since 2022, but this time I think I found the true one 
I’ve alway been interested in science, maths and software developer, and nothing works for me if it doesn’t have a Linux environment. Manjaro gave me all: drivers, stability and control.

Been gone for a year now but Im back. Distro hopping really scratchs my ADHD itch. I always return to the Distro that has my heart. Big thanks to the Manjaro Devs.

Hello all, I have been called a “computer person” and have been running Manjaro on my daily driver for 3 years now. My first linux distro was openSUSE sometime around 2007 although I used microsoft for far too many of those years in between. I have a pinephone and enjoy Phosh on it. While that is not my daily phone I love that I can run the same OS on so many of my devices. Manjaro is consistently a pleasant experience, especially when I break something!

Welcome! My Linux journey also began with openSUSE in 2012. Then Fedora, PCLinuxOS, Debian, Ubuntu/Kubuntu, Chakra, KaOS, Manjaro, and Arch. I probably missed some in between. I have been exclusively on Arch and Manjaro for 7 years.

What to say to be brief like asked…
On Linux since the first Ubuntu, but Mandrake 9.1 obtained in a magazine was my very first one. Switched to Fedora around 2018, then Manjaro (Cinnamon edition) 5 years ago because I was tired up of “major upgrades” and enjoyed the rolling release philosophy and its “waking up and upgrade 500 packages one morning” idea.
And here we are.

Sadly I wasn’t an early-adopter of Linux back in the day, even though I knew of its existence. Shame on me.
One of the lads at work was talking about Red Hat and Mandrake, but most of us computer “hobbyists” didn’t think our gadgets would be so much better (in the long run, at least) with Linux. I guess I didn’t consider it a serious contender to Windows back then.
I jumped ship in the mid 2010s when my Win7 installation BSOD’d on me and I couldn’t be bothered to fix it again. (Yes, because of plugging in my USB scanner!).
Went for Mint, literally that night I was fully Linux. Cinnamon at first, but then switched to Plasma which I much prefer. When they announced they were dropping Plasma, coupled with the added appeal of a rolling-release, I switched my main machines to Manjaro KDE.
Never looked back.

Hello manjaro forum!
I’ve been a Linux user since 15 years back! Although I have been running in a dual boot setup and been running Windows and Linux. Mostly Windows for gaming. I decided to switch and convert to Linux when I noticed how mature and how much gaming improved on Linux about 3 years ago. I have a Proxmox server and been testing out all the Linux and BSD systems. From all the systems Manjaro was the system that won my heart, not to complex if stuff decides to go downhill and for the looks! (KDE is my DE of choice!) I’m glad I came out of the Microsoft “hole” just how much this company and it’s Monopoly has especially on new users and less tech savvy people old and young, with all it’s “Spyware/Bloatware”, Security and less control in a OS. I will never go back and here to stay.

OK, so long ago, the closest equivalent to a streaming service was to get a physical media copy of whatever movie or show you wanted to watch. The physical media was on something called a “video cassette”, also known as “VHS tapes” (that’s a much longer tangent regarding the great format wars, but that’s neither here nor there).
You’d insert the cassette into a VCR, which would play the media back on your TV.
