Wayland clipboard and GTK Cherrytree not working

Recently I switched from KDE Plasma / X11 to Wayland. I am using CherryTree which is a GTK Hierarchical Note Taking Application. Cherrytree does not work with the clipboard and klipper on Wayland. The developer of Cherrytree is aware of this and hopes / expects that upstream a solution will / should become available.
In the meantime, does anyone has a work-a-round for this issue? (I tried Clipboard manager CopyQ)

thanks, hans.

Strange? In Arch (KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4, KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0, Qt Version: 5.15.9, Kernel Version: 6.1.26-1-lts (64-bit), Graphics Platform: Wayland) Klipper and CherryTree are cooperating i.e. clipboard is working.

That is not so strange because it works on my Manjaro system too …
