I recently installed the ‘vmware-workstation’ package from the AUR and upon running it for the first time, I get this message:

Before you can run VMware, several modules must be compiled and loaded into the running kernel.

Kernel Keaders 4.9.51-1-MANJARO
Kernel headers for version 4.9.51-1-MANJARO were not found. If you installed them in a non-default path you can specify the path below. Otherwise refer to your distribution’s documentation for installation instructions and click Refresh to search again in default locations.

I haven’t been able to find any Manjaro documentation for using vmware so far. How could I fix this so that I can use VMware?

I solved this after finding this post by installing the kernel headers for the kernel I am running:

$ sudo pacman -S linux49-headers
