Vertex-themes update

cinnamon
theme

#1

Vertex-themes have been unmaintained for quite a while now and even simple pull-request have been ignored by the developer.
I still think that it is a great theme and also we have already invested a lot of time and energy in our Maia variation.
So I did my best and started fixing issues and adopting open pull-requests on my fork and @Photon also jumped in to help find and patch some problems created by the latest gtk3 updates.

The Cinnamon theme was still a bigger headache with the introduction of vertical panels and other new features and properties. I have now managed to adopt elements from Arc and Mint-y themes and it seems I have managed to make everything work again.
I’ll upload new versions of both vertex-maia-themes and vertex-themes now. Please test and let me know if you find any issues…

Thank you Oberon…

#3

Thanks for the update, it fixed my problem in Atril!

#4

Thanks alot. Also using this great theme.

#5

Is there a chance you can create a vertex-maia-light-theme, in adoption to vertex-light-theme ?

#6

Good point  To be honest I don’t remember why I excluded that part of the theme in the first place - I’ll check that…

#7

Here you go, @banjo: Vertex-Maia-Light added in updated version 20170521-1

I hope it will work as expected also in Xfce. I haven’t been able to test that, yet. This screenshot is with Cinnamon.
The package is only in unstable atm, but if you want to test you can install it directly with

sudo pacman -U https://repo.stdout.net/manjaro/unstable/community/x86_64/vertex-maia-themes-20170521-1-any.pkg.tar.xz

#8

That looks really nice! :slightly_smiling_face: I’ll probably go for it instead of arc maia.

#9

You the man… Oberon

#10

YES, that’s it.

Thank you very much (And a big like). Works in xfce as expected.

#11

Yeah, IT HURTS !! :sunglasses: …but it works

#12

Grrrrün auf blau…

I will change colours a little bit like this, but I don’t get this gtk3 stuff, so thank you again.

#13

Hi,

Small issue in Nautilus 3.24 with Delete Files option

#14

Hm, beh, now the question is which property nautilus uses for that and why it is different than in other apps… :stuck_out_tongue:

#15

Although - This is the pressed down button while the items are being deleted, right?
Is it not normal that in such a situation the button text will be almost invisible?
For example on the github page when you press ‘Comment’ it looks like this while the comment is being transmitted:

In any case, I think it’s acceptable, if not by design… I’ll try to find the property anyway and see what can be changed and what would maybe be better

#16

Could you show me how the same situation looks with Adwaita, maybe?

#18

Thanks for reply,

Now with Adwaita the button is red, that is new.

I think is something about “destructive-button” in gtk.css

#19

It has a different color (from blue) because it wants to warn you of something serious (the deletion).

I cant install :frowning:
