/var/cache/pacman/pkg/ was huge (12GB)

Hello there,

I was debugging why my laptop was running out of disk space and I noticed after some command line hacking that the folder /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ was almost 12GB. From what I understand this folder contains a cache for pacman. While it’s no doubt useful, I don’t want it taking so much space. Is it possible to limit it’s size to a maximum amount?

I doubt that, but as an addition for the above, you can always set Pamac to use only 1 package version, and you can clean that cache any time you want from Preferences:
