Vala missing, after latest update 2/3 packages can not be updated

so, after going through the grub broken issue, and setting the bios to the system boots, i am left with 2 more significant issues.

libunity and nodejes-nativefier need to be updated. but vala is missing.

Hi, I’m not sure if this will help you figure out what is wrong but looking at the log above you need vala witch is in the manjaro extra repository. However there is a vala0.44 in the AUR and that seems to be built?. If you install vala from the extra repository does that satisfy the dependency?

nope, now the update want to remove it because it conflicts with valadoc …

that is right, sorry for not searching first.

so i installed vala from extra , started the update, the list of actions was, it wanted to remove vala from extra, i decided to go ahead, as in what can go wrong, and after having the computer work on it for a good 10 minutes, it managed to finish the updates. strangely enough, installing a different version vala did satisfy the dependency. i am happy ( sort of )
