When the screen locks automatically (i have it set to 5 min) or I lock it myself, when I go to log back into my session my user and password input field is invisible or just doesn’t render.
This doesn’t happen all the time but it happens most of the time.

Moving the mouse, clicking and pressing keys on the keyboard does not make it appear.

I tried unlocking my session with the virtual console using loginctl unlock-session 2
but that did nothing.

The only solution I have and am using now is to disable the auto-screen lock and just never lock it. But this seems unsafe and I would like to be able to lock my screen and not have to reboot to log back in. (losing my session and potentially work in the process)

Has anyone else encountered this problem or know things I can to do identify the problem?
Any help or tips are welcome.

Welcome to Manjaro.

After locking try typing your password + enter disregarding what you see or is rendered.
That should unlock the session.

I tried this several times. But nothing happens. I tried moving my mouse too since, at least for me, this “triggers” the rendering of the user and input box normally.

But nothing happens. I hypothesize that the input field and my user are not rendered and at all so there is no invisible input field even. But that’s just my guess.

Are there any logs that I can check and if so, what should I be looking for in those?

When you create a new user and log in there, does this happen there as well?
