Used Etcher to make live boot of Manjaro 21 - no go

When I try to boot from a usb, I get the opening screen asking what drivers etc. I choose open source drivers and hit enter. Next screen says…"mount: /run/miso/sfs/livesfs: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/loop0, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.
ERROR; Failed to mount /dev/loop0
Falling back to interactive prompt
You can try to fix the problem manually, (I haven’t a clue how. I’m too new to this OS), log out when you are finished
sh: can’t access tty; job control turned off
[rootfs ]#
Could someone please help? Is this enough info, to determine the problem? If not, please tell me what else would help. Thanks in advance to whomever can be of any assistance.

Then try to write the USB stick directly.
With Suse Imagewiter or similar.

Look like the the flash drive is corrupt or the ISO Image. Verify if the checksum match.

Which version of Etcher are you using?
You can also try Ventoy.

I can’t understand why everyone is just so into Etcher. I’ve only used dd for years and never had any problems.

I only use ventoy…just copy paste

Ventoy is so incredibly easy to use and contrary to Etcher it always works.

Yes, and you can have multiple ISO’s on the same USB stick.
