Manjaro fresh install froze

Hello, I recently installed Manjaro for the first time on my work laptop. Most things are working out of the box. However, for the first time in my life I experienced a freeze on Linux and I’m a bit worried since this is a work computer. I’d like to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Only the screen froze, since I could use TTY2. Also the mouse was still active on the screen, which is kinda odd. Other than that, everything was unresponsive.

Here’s the output of journalctl in the time that the events happened:

Apr 05 11:01:01 np900 CROND[23524]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly)

The last line is just me switching to tty2 to try to solve the issue.

I don’t see anything obvious in these lines, although something is obviously going on.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
