Updated my system and lost partial function of my Gnome DE

I updated some packages today, it was a pretty minor update, but my system froze partway through and I had to reboot my computer. Once it rebooted, it seemed as though my DE was reset. All of my apps pinned on the dock were gone, my app folders were reset, and my theme and icons were all different. After a closer look, it seems like I have lost some functions as well. I cannot pin apps to the dock, and I cannot create app folders, or change any theme options. All of my installed applications appear to be intact.

Can someone help me figure out how to fix this, or what packages I need to reinstall? I reinstalled Gnome by running this command, but it didn’t fix any of the issues:

sudo pacman -S gnome

That will often result in issues.

If you can boot the system - don’t log in - instead switch to another TTY e.g. TTY4 using CtrlAltF4.

Login at the prompt and do

pacman -Qqn | pacman -Syu -

Technically the command generates a list of native packages on the system and feed those packages back for reinstallation.
