When I go Alt+F2 and type **kstart5 plasmashell **, the taskmanager starts for about a second and then it disappears again.
How can I fix this? Thanks!
Some people are saying that event calendar is causing crashes for users of plasma. Do you have that? If you do try deleting it and see if you are still crashing.
I do have that installed and active (though I can’t see it right now of course) but I don’t know how to delete widgets without the taskmanager 
So I went to /home/bassam/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/ and deleted the event calender and rebooted. Taskmanager is working now.
What a pity though because it was a great calender tool. Hope it can be fixed.
