For about two weeks now, I have had fake update notifications. Trying to update, I can notice that the notification is about OS Updates which updated a few days ago.

clear the cache, update to the 5 fastest mirrors and make a update
sudo pacman -Scc
sudo pacman-mirrors -f5
sudo pacman -Syyu

is not aur packages ? or -git aur package ?

Remove octopi
maybe as it seems is the one that gives that fake notification update.
To get rid of fake update notification of Pamac
try to refresh Pamac
's DBs:
Refresh databases

I waited for about 10 days, but received no notification. Since then, I have tried all the suggestions to no avail. Attached is a screenshot from today. OS Updates stays gray.
I resolved the issue. I had set the repositories to my country. When I shifted, back to “worldwide”, I do not receive this nasty nofification.
