Sometimes I get errors when updating Manjaro KDE manually with Pamac. Several times I tried to understand the cause. In the meantime I have realized that these errors almost do not occur anymore if you manually trigger “Update database” before.
As a consequence, my request to the development team is that always before an update the database is automatically updated first. This integrated functionality would be helpful for all users.
you can do it, it’s in your response to decide. all tools and functions are provided but you have to use them. for this you have to show interest on using linux. this isn’t ms-windows.

It refreshes the database already after you click on Apply and also (if necessary) when you open the “Updates” tab.

Use this command to refresh databases before updating repository packages:
pamac update --no-aur --force-refresh

If this is already the case than probably nothing more can be done. I just found out that after some occossional updates failures a database refresh and new UPDATE afterwards has solved the problems. That is all. I just wanted to help to make Manjaro but like usual few people do misunderstand.
This I will try out, too.
