Telegram-desktop crashes - settings

It’s a thing that happens now apparently. If you try to select any submenu in the settings, the app crashes.

I’m running under Wayland

[ben@pluto ~]$ telegram-desktop
QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2
QWidget::render: Cannot render with an inactive painter
qt.accessibility.atspi: Error in contacting registry: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Disconnected" "Not connected to D-Bus server"
qt.svg: Error while inflating gzip file: SVG format check failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Fwiw, telegram has always produced coredumps for me … though with no noticeable impact.
And it still seems to function now. But I am on X11.

I guess for now, if I need to change any settings I can log into an X session. Super ideal lol

EDIT: This is, in fact, not the case & not a workaround.

Actually, scratch that… I’m using X now, and telegram still crashes when trying to do anything in the settings, so this doesn’t seem to be Wayland related after all :frowning:

telegram-desktop-bin from AUR seems to work properly. I’ll probably run that for a few updates and then try the repo version again.

I have same bug and i use telegram via Flatpak because telegram from pacman is crashing when i am seeing media.
PS:
I am on X11
