Update 4K Video Downloader

Hello. I have been using Manjaro since last year. I was able to install all the programs that I used on other Linux distros in the past.

However, there is only one program, a video downloader, that I was able to install, but it comes with an outdated version. It is the 4K video downloader.

For this program to be installed, the AUR must be activated.

The program works normally, but a pop-up appears warning that there is a more recent version available for download.

My question is: is there any way to update this program on Manjaro? Some command in the terminal?

For those who are not familiar with this program, here is the website for you to check out: 4K Download | Free and useful applications for PC, macOS and Linux

Thank you for your attention.

Whoops. You do realize your post was blank until I just fixed it? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You mean 4kvideodownloaderplus? The AUR package was marked out of date a few weeks ago. Either you can wait until the AUR Maintainer has time to update it or edit the PKGBUILD and update it yourself.

You mean 4kvideodownloader in the AUR?
If so … it may be related to the fact the newest version is 4kvideodownloaderplus.

Its always a good idea to review the AUR package page itself.

You can do the same thing with yt-dlp if you’re comfortable using the command line to download videos.

I hadn’t noticed, sorry.

Thanks for the tip. I searched in pamac and downloaded this new version. 4K is the best downloader of videos in my opinion. Thank you.
