I downgrade timeshift to 25.07.7-1.
I do have a problem with variety 0.8.13-4. Downgrade it to 0.8.13-1. Could not start it, something related to python.
thanks for this, 470xx seems to be working so far at least. Same thing on my end, I have 1060 which just became obsolete, my screen / windows were flickering (heavily - strange behavior actually) with 580, and 575 didn’t work. I wasn’t persistent enough to try 470xx (I didn’t expect that could work, somethnig to learn for the future).
One more thing of interest maybe, my (pure) Arch setup with ‘nvidia-580.105.08-4‘ works w/o any issues (same machine, same everything, same setup almost to the letter), so my guess is that ‘nvidia-580.119…’ broke things (or some dependency).
With nvidia-580 / linux618 and a gtx 1070 all things were mostly working on my side (in some rare moments i have had some logouts on gnome and even a freeze; when i correctly remember with steam on and some browsers beside like vivaldi…). Now nvidia-590 doesn’t support this graphic card anymore i’ve tried nvidia-470 and it’s working but have some playback issues with smplayer and mpv like players… clapper plays but not good… so i’ve give it a try with nvidia-575xx-dkms and this seems to be working (all playback normal again) but i got only linux612 to run. Kernel 6.18 refuses with errors (also linux617 but EOL):

Not sure, if it’s only on my side or linux618 with nvidia-575 isn’t working yet… still linux612 with nvidia-575xx-dkms works quite fine, (but i didn’t do yet a further gaming capabilities testing…).

But relax, this package is not yet in Manjaro repos.
I also see in KDE 200% fontsize scale in VLC, Shotcut… looks there is a bigger issue around that topic.
Do you have issue with Timeshift inside the GUI or is it related to CLI also?
When its GUI related maybe try this out:
sudo timeshift --create --comments "A new backup"
