If the kernels need to be rebuilt, why don’t they show up in the package diffs?

most of the kernels are now built

Variety and probably others won’t start due to cairo complaining about undefined symbol.

The workaround for now is a downgrade of cairo to 1.17.6-2.

It is marked as fixed here as mentioned here, but doesn’t seem to be the case for variety.

Edit: this is a bit confusing, python-cairo is orphaned?

Linux62 missing of vfio_virqfd module.

mkinitcpio error:

ERROR: module not found: `vfio_virqfd'

https://forum.level1techs.com/t/linux-kernel-6-seems-to-be-incompatible-with-the-vfio-pci-module-needed-for-pci-passthrough/190039

https://www.thomas-krenn.com/de/wiki/Proxmox_PCIe_Passthrough_aktivieren

I’m using Linux6.1 and PCI Passthrough work very well.
Only installing the 6.2 i get the error.

Not mentioned afaik, but this:
https://metrics.lecoq.io/insights/torvalds
search for: vfio
But:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/tree/drivers/vfio/?h=linux-6.1.y
says: not yet availabel?

:information_source: Switch to the base-devel meta package requires manual intervention

2023-02-12 - Robin Candau

On February 2nd, the base-devel package group has been replaced by a meta package of the same name.
If you installed the base-devel package group prior to this date, explicitly re-install it to get the new base-devel package installed on the system:

pacman -Syu base-devel
