Super Key / Windows Key makes XFCE switch to TTY1

Hi,

I’m having the same problems as described in this thread.

After a certain time or event Manjaro goes to TTY1 when I press the super key instead of showing me the whisker menu. Ctrl + Alt + F7 gets me back to X and the whisker menu is shown.

I haven’t figured out yet, what starts this behavior. Right after boot it works as expected.

I executed the commands suggested in above mentioned thread but it doesn’t look helpful.

$ journalctl --system --boot=0 | grep "suspend exit"
$ journalctl --system --boot=0 | grep "suspend entry"
$ journalctl --system --boot=0 --since "2021-11-24 14:55:00"

Anything else I could do?

Thanks

If I were you, i’d create a new test_user on the system, and login into that user account, and see if the problem is there. The problem might be a keybiinding in your dotfiles/init-files.

This is the solution that I applied some time ago, and the problem never came back:

I’m not super happy with it, since it’s more a workaround than a fix but it seems to do the job. Thanks.
