Why do Manjaro Stable updates break the system? Is it bad testing?

Kernel 4.10.3, firefox, virtualbox and all the rest running smooth on my gnome desktop with free radeon drivers.

With the Mesa stack, Nvidia-utilities and related drivers held back the other updates are working beautifully for me.

I pushed out some more packages and adjusted some packages in regard of libglvnd-mesa-stack.
