[Unstable Update] 2016-12-28 - Linux 4.10-rc1, Plasma 5.8.5, Cinnamon 3.2.7, Haskell, Python

After the last update some icons in system tray, video-thumbnails in my home folder, and others are displayed incorrectly, turned a green color (as if they were missing one of the primary light colors or something).
It seems that the problem relates to those who have amd-radeon driver and mesa.
The cause of the problem is llvm-libs 3.9.1-1.
Downgrading llvm-libs to 3.9.0.3 solved the issue.

It has already mentioned in arch-forum and created bug-reports:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=221169
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/52288
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99078

If we keep updating, with Breath eventually come back as the default?

Will breath theme set available for Xfce?

Test if there are issues with is on Xfce, report them and they might get fixed. The issue might be that Accessories category doesn’t have an icon, because the name of the icon file is different on KDE. Remember having it with maia on Xfce, but it was fixed later.

Having an issue with conky:

conky: error while loading shared libraries: libXNVCtrl.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory```

I'm using `conky-lua-nv` ,maybe @oberon knows what has to be done?

The kernels 4.9 and 4.10 didn’t run to desktop within VirtualBox. Because the VirtualBox guest extension are missing.

4.4 and 4.8 runs as expected.

Seems the package needs a new dependency. Please install libxnvctrl. That should solve it.

thank you, this fixed the issue

I tested icons on Xfce and many Xfce settings icons was missing. I want to try theme but I saw many KDE packages as prerequested. I think I wait for Xfce adaptation.

I had this problem before some weeks ago…

looking for conflicting packages…
:: marble and libmarble4 are in conflict. Remove libmarble4? [y/N] y
:: kmail-account-wizard and kdepim-common are in conflict. Remove kdepim-common? [y/N] y
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: kde-servicemenus-rootactions: removing kdebase-kdialog breaks dependency ‘kdebase-kdialog’
:: libkgeomap4: removing libmarble4 breaks dependency ‘libmarble4’

to fix it I had to remove libkgeomap4 and libmarble4 manually.

libkgeomap4 has been removed by Arch and its old dependencies are not matching the update. Did you install that package explicitly?

4.10 runs without issues on my i5-3380M, even games run smooth.

Will check on my FX 8350 on Sunday.

I have installed a lot of apps from AUR so maybe one of these apps requested libkgeomap4 and install it :o ?

Please check and give feedback:

everything ok, all successfully installed :slight_smile:

Yes it fixed. Thanks a lot Philm!

4.10 runs great on my FX 8350.
Also, the firmware bugs that still appear on 4.9 (here ) do not appear any more on 4.10
