Unstable display configuration

Hey everybody,

I’m struggling to get a reliable and working display configuration.
I’m using my laptop display as well as two additional displays. But as soon as i have unplugged the displays and plug them in again my display configuration starts to stop working reliably.
From then on my first monitor displays “no connection” altough it is plugged into my laptop and turned on. I then have to turn the monitor off via its power button, enable and reorder the monitor in my display configuration. I sometimes have to do this multiple days in a row until out of nowhere it just starts working on its own again. This even happens after i close the lid of my laptop or set the system to hibernate.

In the display configuration menu there is a hint that constantly switches between “a new output has been added” and “An output has been removed”.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
Which logs may be helpful?

Hello,

Switch to 5.13 kernel and see if that helps with your issue.
Use MHWD to install it.

Have you tried changing cables? (looks like a dodgy connection)

Kernel 5.12 is EOL so please install both 5.4 and 5.10 LTS (Long Term Support) and see which one of the two troubles you least.

Please read this
