Understanding the cause of sudden reboot

Its been about a month since installation of Manjaro on ThinkPad X220. Just now experienced sudden reboot. Can you please assist to understand the cause of it?

There is nothing in your information above that would explain a sudden reboot, but spontaneous reboots are rare and are often caused by a bad (connection to the) power supply. An intermittent contact for instance.

In some cases, overheating could possibly also trigger that, but this is really specific to the processor manufacturers ─ i.e. AMD and Intel handle those things differently.

Please read this:

Especially the Linux has multiple kernels section, then try an LTS kernel and hopefully the problem will go away “automagically”. :grin:
