Unable to load windows 10 after installing

I recently followed a tutorial online to install KDE Plasma alongside Windows 10. After installing it onto my ssd I restarted my computer and was allowed to choose between Manjaro and the Windows boot manager. Whenever I select Windows boot manager it takes about 30 seconds to load, and then it says its repairing my PC, and then it says it couldn’t load windows properly and I can either restart or choose advanced options. Manjaro will load up just fine though.

Sorry for such a beginner question, I’ve been looking at similar forum posts to try and fix it myself but I wasn’t able to figure it out.

Thank you

In case this would help, here are the results for “sudo fdisk -l”

What tutorial?

How have you shrunk the Windoze partition to install Manjaro:

  • from within Windoze,
  • by the installer or
  • somehow differently?

I guess the shrinking did not work properly and resulted in a corrupted partition /dev/nvme0n1p3.

We cannot assist you fixing Windows problems and any issues related to Windows failing to start is considered off-topic.

The official guide to dual-boot is contained in the user manual and a semi official guide is found on the forum.

Is there an off-topic portion of the forum I could move this to?

No, there isn’t, but even if there was, new users cannot move threads. Only TL3 members and above can do that.

As @linux-aarhus said, fixing problems with Microsoft Windows is beyond the scope of this forum. I am therefore closing this thread. Please consult Microsoft’s knowledge base and/or forums on how to repair your Windows installation.
