Unable to install PIXMA TR4540 printer

Hello.

I am unable to install the PIXMA TR4540 printer.

I followed the instructions here: Installing a Canon PIXMA TR4522 but the printer is not supported in the cnijfilter2 package.

I installed:

sudo pacman -S system-config-printer

and when cnijfilter2 is not installed, it shows the printer connected via USB on the Printer Settings. The device does not exist in the printer database though.

Canon do have drivers for it on their website: PIXMA TR4540 - Support - Download drivers, software and manuals - Canon Europe

Any suggestions on how to get this printer to be detected and print?

and replace in PKGBUILD the source of the driver, based on the link you provided

check the sha256sums first … or set it to be ignored (not best).
