Unable to have DM login after update ( 15 August 2022 )

after update I have not the graphical login and I can not execute startx.

You should probably reinstall your Nvidia drivers. The most important output would be inxi -Fazy (bit just -G)

I guess you have an unsupported kernel version.

I’d say your best, if not only option is the nouveau drivers.

Thanks a lot. a final suggestion. To have the DM after a (re)boot I have to log into terminal and digit

sudo modprobe nouveau

to load the right driver.

I noticed that

mhwd-gpu.conf still contains nvidia driver.
