Are you sure?
This sounds like a simple fix.
First, are you sure you were running 6.10 before, and not 6.9?
Someone already asked for lsblk -f
, but that, and the contents of /boot/grub/grub.cfg
could tell us if it is what I think it is.

Yeah Iām fine, thank you though. I was for sure running on 6.10, I got the files i need so its only a few programs ill need to reinstall.
Please mark the reply that solved your issue as the solution. If you figured it out on your own, then please add another reply that details what you did so people from the future will benefit from your trials, tribulations and ultimatelyā¦ the actual solution.
Good point there: I never consider a reinstall as a āsolutionā because it doesnāt address whatever caused the issue(s) in the first place ā therefore, when such an issue occurs again, another reinstall and nothing learned.
Not the way rolling-releases are meant to be used, in my honest opinion.
I agree its not a āgoodā solution but i didnāt have time to find the actual solution so reinstall had to do. I kinda need my computerā¦
I think you edited whilst I was replying. But as for needing the computer ā¦ many of us do, but itās always good to have a ābackupā machine (or access to one, when needed) for when things go āmammaries-verticalā.
I agree with the notion, Iāll set up a laptop for the next time this happens. Thank you for the suggestion.
Someone in announcements asked for the topic to be linked, should i do it even though I gave up on the solution or should they make a different topic? Not sure what the etiquette is in this situationā¦
Probably not worth linking it now, but it probably wonāt hurt if you want to do it anyway.
Will doā¦
Be sure to get the grub screen - usually Esc or Shift during boot will reveal it.
Prese e and add the number three (3) to the end of the kernel command line - then press F10 too boot to console login.
From there you should be able to gather information and send using 0x0.st
You should update the kernel while in the chroot environment; using the appropriate terminal commands:
Iām guessing that you might have tried using the gui in the Manjaro Live environment. That being the case, thereās no wonder it failed.
Hi, I have a similar issue. I ran the latest update and boot hangs at
Starting Terminate Plymouth Boot Screenā¦
I was able to open a tty and login.
I ran inxi -zv8

You would be better to do that, yes.
