Trying to get my GPU to work

Hi,
I recently have installed Manjaro alongside with my Windows 11 installation as my first distro. I am trying to get my 1650ti max-q to work but it is extremely stubborn.
nvidia-smi gives this output:

No devices were found

lspci | grep VGA gives this output:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation CometLake-H GT2 [UHD Graphics] (rev 05)

However lspci -k gives this output (i’ve cut it so it only shows nvidia):

01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation TU117M [GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Mobile] (rev a1)
	Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. [MSI] Device 12bd
	Kernel driver in use: nvidia
	Kernel modules: nouveau, nvidia_drm, nvidia

Hi @Stratosnoffon, and welcome!

In order for us, or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:

Please also provide the output for:

mhwd --listall

Hope you manage!

Tip:

To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.

Instead of like this:

Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.

Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.

Please edit your post accordingly.

OK, I honestly don’t know what to do with that. So let’s try reinstalling the driver:

  1. Remove all current drivers:
mhwd --remove video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-prime video-modesetting

:warning: But don’t reboot!

  1. Then reinstall the hybrid drivers:
mhwd --install pci video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-prime

In all theory it should be safe to reboot now. If successful, provide new outputs for

glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer"

And

prime-run glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer"

If not, welp, then it wasn’t me obviously. :wink:

mhwd --remove video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-prime video-modesetting throws an error:

Apologies. I missed a paramater. It’s added now. I think

Actually in that time I used Manjaro’s hardware configuration tab in system settings to reinstall the drivers, should I still reboot?

I think so.

:crossed_fingers:

I have rebooted and unfortunately I am getting the same outputs:
glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer" output:

prime-run glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer" ouput:

  Serial number of failed request: 50

It seems to be that PRIME isnt configured properly or something

Seeing as I only have an nvidia, and thus no hybrid GPU, I am very sadly unable to help you, except point at this:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PRIME

Thank you for trying to help me anyways.
