Getting revised Windows 10 back onto my grub menu

I have a dual boot laptop. Manjaro KDE and Windows 10 (each on an individual drive). All has been well until Windows crapped itself and I had to do a complete new install (Win 10 only). Now the Manjaro grub menu shows the old Win 10 install but can’t find the new one.

Is there a way of editing the grub to revise this? The only alternative is to use the BIOS to swap between the two OS’s as needed.

Any advice appreciated.

Are both OS installed in UEFI mode?

Is OS prober enabled in your /etc/default/grub (GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false) and have you tried

sudo update-grub

I had some issues with UEFI so its legacy mode.

Both OS?

grub can boot Windoze only if it’s installed in the same mode.

Yes both legacy…

Then check your grub file and the other details mentioned above.

Let me do that now and I’ll let you know how I get on.

Worked like a charm. Back in business.

Thanks so much.
