Trouble getting informations about saving my desktop

Hello,

I have a trouble saving my i3 desktop, I wanted to automatically load things like a htop, music player etc. after a boot, but after almost 2 days of searching I’m still confused.

Should I use i3-save-tree ? Is it event meant to do what I want ? If yes could you explain me step by step how to achive my goal and/or maybe link some good tutorials because I have trouble searching right things. (I already saw “i3: Layout saving in i3” but still have no idea how to get things to work")

Have you looked at this?

But it won’t save the proportions, windows layout and sizes, at least not for me.
