Trackball / mouse modifiers

Hi there. New here. I predominantly use Windows 10 with a trackball at work and due to remote work these days, I’ve been using KDE DE at home. I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to configure modifier keys so that I can perform the following:

  1. Holding down CTRL halves the speed of the trackball / mouse cursor so that I can precisely target an area of the screen; and
  2. Holding down SHIFT locks the cursor either in vertical or horizontal scrolling mode for moving around large canvases.

In Windows 10 my trackball comes with its own software where the modifiers are configurable.

Is this possible in KDE? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Regards.
